Inconel 718 Pipe Advantages and Specifications

Inconel 718 Tube is primarily a nickel-chromium-iron alloy that is age-hardened. It contains significant amounts of molybdenum, titanium, and niobium in addition to aluminum. The material is both corrosion-resistant and extremely strong. Inconel 718 Tube has excellent creep rupture and tensile strength up to 700 degrees Celsius (1300 degrees Fahrenheit) and is resistant to oxidation at 800 degrees Celsius (1800 degrees Fahrenheit). Tubes made from Inconel 718 are used to make high-strength components such as blades, hubs, and gaskets for jet engines, as well as high-temperature fasteners.

Inconel 718 Alloy Pipe Advantages and Specifications

What are the advantages of Inconel 718 pipe?

Inconel 718 Pipe

Inconel 718 alloy pipe is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant nickel-based high-temperature alloy. It has excellent mechanical properties, high-temperature strength, and resistance to oxidation and corrosion. Inconel 718 is widely used in various industries such as aerospace, oil and gas, automotive, and power generation.

Inconel 718 Pipe Advantages

Inconel 718 is a precipitation hardening alloy that maintains high strength, both tensile and yield strength, even at elevated temperatures.

Even in harsh environments, it exhibits excellent resistance to oxidation, pitting, crevice corrosion and other forms of corrosion.

Inconel 718 does not suffer from serious problems such as post-weld cracking when welding, and does not usually require extensive post-weld heat treatment.

It performs well over a wide temperature range from cryogenic to approximately 700℃ (1300℃F), making it suitable for both high and low temperature applications.

It retains its shape and resists deformation under conditions of high stress and prolonged high temperatures.

ASTM B163, B167, B516, ASME SB163, SB167, SB516, AMS 5662, AMS 5663

After age hardening, it can exceed 185 ksi (1275 MPa).

It is also high, which contributes to its ability to withstand high pressure.

Nickel (50-55%), chromium (17-21%), iron (balance), niobium (4.75-5.50%), molybdenum (2.80-3.30%), titanium (0.65-1.15%), and aluminum (0.20-0.80%).

Choose from seamless and welded pipes, tubes and a wide range of accessories.
